One year on…
Oh my. I began this blog to note down some thoughts as I developed the Beatles Bible website. I thought it would be helpful - to me, and anyone else who happened to search for relevant terms - to keep a record of findings in case they came up elsewhere.
Well. As it happened, I spent far more time writing the content for the Beatles site, with precious little left to even think of other stuff (my long-suffering wife will attest to that). And so, one year on, this blog has been left looking a little dormant.
Just recently I've been thinking of reviving it, as I've felt the need to write about things other than 1960s pop. There's a whole other world out there, I have to remind myself. So I'm going to hopefully give this a kick up the arse, and broaden the subject matter a bit (I was previously only writing, albeit minimally, about web-related issues, but I spend all day thinking about those anyway).
Isn't it sad when a blog gets abandoned? Fortunately this never got many hits anyway - I think the most it's had in a month is 43 visitors, and the bounce rate (those coming in and leaving without clicking on anything) was 100%. But although I never started this for popularity, it's a little embarrassing to have it here, and when the domain name renewal came up I had to justify spending even the small amount of money to keep the domain name active.
So, without wanting to tempt fate or be a hostage to fortune (or any other apposite cliche), I hope to keep this going in some form, even if it's still slightly haphazard. Come along for the ride if you like.
